I'm doing a crashing helicopter which will be included in a short clip. Final scene will contain another ship shooting the heli. the shooting ship has camera moving behind it as it's passing over the smoking heli.
city with fog it in the background
I know that a really high end look takes lots of work and experience, but i want to make it as cool as possible with the little time I have.
Main issues
The fire in the center looks sometimes like a hot opaque blob of lava that reaches up to the end of the smoke. How break up best considering the settings i have?
Texture time? (the texture is moving slow or fast, feel like it both almost. texture time = * 2
- Render. When I render in Mental ray the fluid looks totally flat almost. (the link is rendered with software)
- Scale? does the smoke look like it is in the right scale?
Fluids still feels like a Rubics cube to me even though some pieces are getting in place. I still find it very hard to have all settings in mind when i operate the sliders, and some grid-relationships are hard to check how they actually effect the sim- since lowering resolution for wievport preview dramaically change the look.I'm looking for any advice possible on my settings or just related to gaseous fluids in general.
Thanks!
