Crashing while saving corrupts workspaces

I'm wondering if anyone has had this happen. I've been doing a standard wire removal in the Paint operator. When I save, whether it be with the pulldown menu or hotkey, I frequently get a crash. And when I go to open the workspace that C* crashed on, it crashes half way through opening, and is corrupt and unopenable in any machine equipped with combustion.
Anyone have a workaround?

yeah its great! so far the best solution has been to not grab frames off the network.
seems to help but doesnt stop it. i dont think it has anything to do with the paint side
of things.

I have had exactly this problem. Have not found a solution, but the problem is so strikingly simular
it worries me. I can't find anywhere where there is information about bugs or problems with 1.0. I need to solve this problem quickly as we would like to use combustion for rig removal a larg number of shots.

I asume everyone has gotten the latest patches off the Discreet site? its up to ..like what 1.11? anywhy , i loaded the newsest patches and it happens .. less. also a VERY good idia to reference all your files off a mountd ahrdrive . If you reference them off say a JAZZ disk your porject might corupt , same when referencing off networked drives. This isn;t offical of course , jsut found out form trial and eror.

it happens at the school I'm at.
We use discreet branded edit boxes and have the latest patches installed. and it sometimes happens on all of the 5 boxes we have. it seems to happen more often with some projects then others. Its a good lesson in saving different versions every time.
I have seen it happen when using paint and sometimes when using the discreet keyer.
I had it happen 3 times in one morning doing the same thing in the keyer (adding points to the Curve tab), then i rebooted the machine and it didn't do it any more.
