Crop Problem

I have been using Shake 4 to create a still frame graphic.

The logo i'm using is rectangular, but the original file shows some other extra rubbish around the edge, so i used a crop node to remove this.

Various other nodes add shadow and reflections and on my screen the complete image looks just right, yet when i render the fileout node, the crop no longer has any effect and all the rubbish re-appears.

Am i doing something wrong or just misreading what a crop does?

ps: you wouldnt happen to work on a photoshop file..
they got me so much trouble that i gave up on them completely (and i wonder why they even bothered to add psd support if half of the time it acts unpredictly)

thanks Zem....i decided to save myself lots of hassle and just cropped the image in photoshop and re-import it, remove the crop node and hey presto...a perfect graphic!

We have had multiple problems integrating psd files in Shake as well. We no longer even try. We have started exporting EXR files from PS and they work great.
