Cross Eye 3d With 3d Studio Max

Hi All,

I have seen very nice creations in the galleries of HighEnd3D. That time I just discoverd Cross Eye 3D viewing. And I wanted to see those scenery in 3D depth, because I could not find them I started with 3D studio max myself to finally be able to create such a scenery in 3D depth. I have made this creation in Cross Eye 3D format (no parallel viewing). You have to look with your right eye to the left part of the image and vica versa. Because the images are just from a different angle you will get a sense of depth. Hopefully more people, with those very nice scenery, post their creatios also in Cross Eye 3D. It just gives and extra dimension to your creation!

Another Cross Eye 3D scene I made. It is not finished yet. I need to fill up the space of the hall with more things. Adjust the stairs and make a doorknop.

Any suggestion are welcome and appreciated.

You could simply buy 3d polarizer lenses, they arent actually all that expensive i saw ones sold for less than 60 euros. Whet then you do is you draw the picture for left eye on odd frames and right on even the lenses then oscilate with your monitor to give the illusion of 3d. Also deecent 3d monitor s arent really expensive at all anymore

It requires a bit of practise. A friend of mine learned how to see Cross Eye 3D in less then 5 minutes. The focus part is the hardest, just keep looking and your eyes will adjust to it automaticely

I have polarizer lenses. so all i need to do is put them on and put the images to my stereo viewer. Like i said this tech cosr peanuts theese days. No cross eyes needed t evaluate the picture.

Ok great, you know where to spend your money on. But do you have nice cross eye pictures? That is the purpose of this topic, not whether you should learn how to see cross eye depth in images.

Well i use maya and in the newest version doing a stereoscopic plate is just a switch in the render globals so potentially all pictures i have could be simply made into stereo views. So then this boils down to the question do i have nice pictures, and yes some. But basically that means that almost all of the true 3d pictures in the galleries could be rendered into stereoscopic pictures if the author wished to do so
