does anybody know anything about the socalled "Production tools for creating crowds". You can read it at softimage.com under the xsi2.0 section

Because of Softimage's close ties with Phoenix Tools (softbodies, cloth, etc.), there is a fair chance that it is based on PT's Behave crowd simulation plugin for Soft|3D.

@@Because of Softimage's close ties with Phoenix Tools (softbodies, cloth, etc.), there is a fair chance that it is based on PT's Behave crowd simulation plugin for Soft|3D.

No - it's not PhoenixTools.

The crowd simulation and behaviours for XSI is based on the RTK|Motion and RTK|Behave softwares which are much more advanced and of higher quality. The softwares were acquired as part of Avid's purchase of the Motion Factory last year.

There's a 20 minute AVI on Softimage's website demonstrating the applications of these tools:
