About a week ago, I was online. When I was done, I put the computer on Standby. A couple of hours later, I awoke the computer only to find I was unable to get online. I checked the Network Connections window, which usually contains 3 items: on top is "Internet Connection" Below this is a line (divider) and then 2 more items, side-by-side: "LAN Connection" and "1394 Connection". Now, only "1394 Connection" is there and it says below it "Connected, Firewalled". I tried creating a new Internet connection. I tried the Network Setup Wizard. I tried deleting the connection. When I tried to create a new connection, it said my Internet connection was already set up and ready to use. I was unable to delete the "1394 Connection". The Network Setup wizard did not work either. I then tried installing a Belkin Wireless Network card and connecting wirelessly through my other computer. It said that "there is no netwok adapter installed or the software for the adapter is not installed", both of which were incorrect. I even reinstalled Windows, but still everything was the same. I checked the manual for my motherboard and looked at the LAN port LED indicators. The left light was off, which meant "no link". The right light was orange, which meant "100Mbps Connection" The manual did not give any more information. I know this is a really long post but I was trying to get all the details in! Anyone who has any ideas/suggestions whatsoever, please help!!! Thanks in advance, Tulane
