Delay openeing the rendering property page on 2.0.1

I am running XSI 2.0.1 on NT SP5, with Dual 2Ghz Xenons with a 5110 Wildcat on a 24" monitor. And Ever since I upgraded from 1.5.3 to the current version, everytime I activate the render property page (or render region property page), it takes almost 5 seconds to open up. And then everytime i change just one variable the comp pauses for another 5 seconds!)

Sure once you hit render, the thing flies...but has anyone else encountered this problem?

I have Dell Precision 530 on 1,7 Xeon
Same problem... What to do?
The impression that XSI works very much slowly:-(
