Hi everybody, I've been using Maya a long time, but I recently upgraded to 2016 and am still trying to get used to it.
Whenever I model from reference photos, I assign the images to planes and place them in a Layer I designate as 'R' for Reference. While modeling I would often switch between Wireframe, Shaded and Texture modes as part of my modeling proccess, but the Reference Layer would ignore those changes and stay locked in Texture Mode... That's precisiely what I needed because I need to see the image I'm referencing while I work on the wireframe overtop of it.
Now it's bound to any changes I make to the display mode, and renders the concept of a reference layer useless. Is there a way I can get the Layer to ignore changes in the display setting once again?
Sincerely,
Charles
