According to Renderman documentation :
Dot product of two vectors is a scaler product which gives angle between the vectors.
if vector1 is +I (0 degree) vector2 is - I ( 180 degree ) then what will be the dot product of these ?

It is the cosine of the angle. So 0 degrees gives you 1, and 90 degrees gives you 0.
Important: both vectors need to be normalized to get the cosAngle.
