Because of popular demand, I've added support for MAX polygons to the dotXSI plugin for MAX. A new option exists in the MAX Exporter v1.4 called Triangulate (default). Checking it off will export to the SI\_PolygonList instead and will not triangulate the mesh.

I don't use 3DS Max, hence I doubt I'll be trying this plug-in out. But congratulations anyway!! The more of this stuff exists the better and more popular XSI will become!
Such a powerful export plugin it is!! i used that and enjoy that!!but i want to know if there have possibilityto process a import plugin !! it will be so sweet to me--a softimage user have to handle with MAX for a case:)
Nope.. no plans for an MAX import plugin. Sorry.
just to check, no plans for .max import into XSI, or no plans for .xsi import into MAX? The latter would be useful.
No need for .max into XSI as the Max2dotXSI plugin does it. It is easier to export to a public file format from the native application (MAX) than trying to parse a foreign file format.
Still no plans for .xsi import into MAX.
It seems that the plugin only works with Max 4.0 but not 4.2
Strange, I used it with max 4.26 and the only thing that didn't worked was the Quad option (crashed XSI when I tried importing the dotXSI file).
