As for the other responses, I was simply looking for an app that would perform this task. I thought an app that could cue clips and render proxies would be a tremendous help when working on 2K clips. Wouldn't it be great to cue 50 clips to render proxies (3 sets & in a gui) for a weekend render? I simply assumed Shake would have this built in. It doesn't seem like an absurd request. Not everyone "lives" for code.
You will find that the more powerfull a program is, the more expensive it is and the more manual it is. You have to trade off gui when stuff gets more complex otherwise you get maya(way too many buttons because everyone wants everything that used to be a simple mel script turned into a button that comes with the software). In the end the app still ends up being just as complex as something that you need to use a little code with.
Shake 1.0 was a commandline only app. They didnt add the gui till 2.0. So unfortunatly there is still a lot of things that are code based. It's really not that hard when you get used to it and it is actually much faster to do then using the gui.
