At first - thanks for your previous response and critique to my chika model! So great to get some serious, professional feedback... It wasnt really meant to be realistic - because I couldnt find a solution for real eyebrows I painted them and to maintain the look I only used a simple material instead of a real map.
Here is my new model - I found something for hair and thats a head to try it out I still havent something for the lashes but it wasnt that important for him
I think he looks pretty good. The hair looks patterned in places like the eybrows and cheeks.. I can see rows of hairs maybe you could randomize them more. The skin quality seems off maybe it's too soft? The eyes look good. The bump map on the face looks good but then so good on the forehead. I think the Doctor could stand to have some veins buldging around the temples. There are vertical ines in the bump map that visible in the profile in front of the ear but maybe you knew that allready.
Great Texturing....also what type of Geo are you using poly's subs? Nurbs patches? or just organic modeling? Thanks for the info...what did you do for the hair...paintfx or fur or your own proprietary solution?
Very nice. I really like the overall creepiness the guy has. he reminds me of this guy I see at the REC centre. ) For my two bits, I would reccomend that you ad a good sepc map to him. Give this guy a texture that shows the oils in his skin. Maybe a freckle or two. (Or liver spots) they all work.
thanks a lot for your replies - I don't use one of the programs this forum is actually for (some $$$ missing here ) ... I work with 3d studio max - I hope this is ok - I used nurms for the geometry which is max's method for subdivision surfaces (not that good though).. For the beard and brows I used shag-fur - only hair/fur plugin there is ..
I will do all the changes and post a new picture soon! The guy is the maincharcter of my demoreel and I want to try some facials on him
