Does anyone know if any manufacturers other than Tyan are planning on producing a multiprocessor board for AMD? If they are if it will be out anytime soon?

Unfortunately Tyan will be the only manufacturer to put out a Dual AMD board based on the AMD760MP Chipset. It is a kick butt board, but comes at a anchorage price.
However, AMD will be releasing the successor to the 760MP chipset, the 760MPX. Consider it 760MP Lite. It is stripped down version of the 760MP chipset. AMD already has contracts with Abit to manufacturer a consumer board in the sub $250 market, based on the 760MPX chipset. Yes, the board will offer overclocking capability, Abits ATA-100 Specs. Support for Raid is now up in the air, but there will not be any Buil-in Nic(s) or Sound.
There are several manufacturers preparing dual athlon boards. Your best bet is the Asus A7M266-D board which is due out at the end of this month. you can find out more details here:

This looks like a sweet board with overclocking features, CPU overheating protection, AGP Pro Slot, and AMD's 760 MPX chipset.
Other boards are also due out by abit, gigabyte and MSI.
You will probably here more news when AMD officially launches the 760MPX chipset this week.

finaly a dual board from my fav mainboard company...
hopefully it works as well as they normal do.
..........hey little girl, wanna buy a monkey?......
Hmm. Actually I thought the new 760MPX chipset is an improvement over the current 760MP chipset. The 760MPX chipset uses the AMD-762 Northbridge (same one used in the 760 MP chipset) and a new improved AMD-768 Southbridge which now supports 64bit 66mhz PCI bus as opposed to the current 33mhz PCI bus used on the 760MP chipset.

I know how you feel. My Tyan tiger board has been a great board, but the asus board looks really sweet. Hopefully the price will be right.
