Duplicating keyframes

i want to hold my characters pose during an animation...

simply copying and pasting keyframes doesnt seem to work (it only places keys on the frame, not the values)

for example, i want to copy frame 1's pose on frame 10..

middle mouse drag on the timeline. This will change the time value but nothing else. Then set your keyframe.
