Duplication problem, URGENT!

Hello

when I duplicate an object and then move it a bit I remember that XSI used to duplicate and move the next object in the same way when I hit duplicate again, but this stops hapening after the second time I hit duplicate now, and it just diplicates the new object in the same position as the old one
Also, when I select multiple object and duplicate them only a few of them gets duplicated, why??

I really need help with this fast

It does work, if you select a sphere and duplicate( CTRL and D), the duplicated sphere is automaticly highlighted, move this duplicated sphere to the left and press CTRL key and D. The sphere will now keep duplicating in the postion you moved the first one. confused?? I am.
