DVD

Hi,

I'm trying to make a demo reel with the least amount of cost. Is it possible to create dvd's from quickime or avi files? If so, it possible to record dvd's from an xbox to a vhs recorder (my xbox hasn't arrived yet so I can't test it)? Thanks.

Tony

P.S. Xbox is now $199

to create a dvd you need a dvd burner which is not a cheap thing... if the xbox plays svcds or xsvcds and you could make your demoreel into a highquality mpeg and then burnt it to CD then try it in your xbox and record, that would be the cheapest method... either that or get a good cheap DVD player that will play svcds...

but regardless it might not be that great quality...

The Xbox doesn't play any type of VCD (SVCD, XVCD, SXVCD, etc).

The PS2 does if you but the attachment for it.

Pick up an Apex 1500 (~$50-80) it plays everything (CD, CDR, CDRW, DVD, DVDR, DVDRAM, DVDRW, VCD, SVCD, SXVCD, XVCD, JPG, MP3) and you can disable the macrovision and make copies to VHS.
