Am trying to texture a rigidity map using a ramp. The object is a ribbon and I need the edges to be less rigid and flap in the wind but the middle to be firm. When I applied this there is no effect what so ever. It's as if there is no rigidity at all. They only way I can get any rigidity is when I turn on the global rigidity in the Dynamics Property tab but obviously this controls the whole thing. Is there something I haven't turned on or am missing? I even tried painting it by hand, and using the vertex map. Still nothing happens.
Any help at all would be great!
