Or perhaps muting softbody just before it hits the particles. You have me thinking now!
Yeah, then unmuting a few frames after the colosion.
That could work for many things but I still wonder if there's a way to leave the softbody alone.
Never know when you need to drop a big green ogre into a pool of water or some such thing.
BTW... Who knows of a really good sub $2000 dedicated particle system that either can plug-in or stand alone? Must be better than Maya's or SI's and hopefully able to breath down Houdini's neck...
