Eataway Macro

I've installed a number of the macros found on this site that are related to keying and had no problems. ( a_EdgeErode, AlphaEdge )

Do any of you have the " EatAway v1.0" Macro installed on your Macs?

Can you please post EXACTLY which of the files go in which folders so I can run the Macro?

There is this amazing thing that comes with Shake called "Shake4UserManual.pdf". Well I opened this file and did a search in it for the word "macro". The 4th and 5th result in the search was called "How to install a macro". Well I clicked on this link and look at what it said:

No Way! Shake comes with a manual? What a groundbreaking innovation! I had no idea! Now I dont have to ask stupid questions anymore.

to be fair, he original poster said that he installed other macros without problems before, so i guess he has read up on that..

however, not having tried the EatAway macro myself, i have no idea why this would be different from the others. maybe you could explain which files exactly you put where?

I really appriciate all your responses usually, and I do learn from time to time new ways of doing things, but i have to say that I am FED UP with this attittute of yours. Not everybody is as advanced as others and sometimes people don't know things. Although I do agree that people starting with Shake should go through the manual 5 times before even posting something, we have to be a bit more patient with the process. If you think its a waste of your time, don't bother answering the question. Why waste your time typing? Stop going down on people like you are gods. Just go a bit more easy on people.

What will happen at the end is that people are going to start migrating to other forums and we'll lose some valuable people with this negative attitude.

OK, an apology is due. If i had read the post more carefully I would have seen that the poster has installed macros on previous occasions. Therefore I am sorry for the synical reply.

I think that the not-so-recent changes to the highend site have been a massive faliure for a number of resons. One of which is that the new system occasionally changes the file names of macros to reflect some sort of versioning system. Macros need to be named correctly to work. If the names of the files are changed, they break. In the case of Eataway, if you remove the "-v1.0-" from the names of all 3 files, it should work.
