Unfortunatly my texturing skills are no where
near what my modeling skills so I'd rather not put
a crappy texture on a good model...
Wouldnt you agree Thirt33n, plus I think alot of
people use textures to fake a higher detail level
so I like to show that its all modeled right down to the
nuts and bolts

Yes, if you can't texture good you shouldn't, but what you should do is try and learn texturing. To be a good modeler you must be a able to texture because when someone hires a modeler they expect to get a model that's ready to be rigged animated and rendered. Only very big projects have separate textures. It's not that hard really by the way.
