Elsa Gloria III / Maya

I was wondering if anyone has tried the III with Maya.....It has not been certified, but it looks to be a good option.

Firstable as U might know the Gloria 3 doesn't support Hardware Overlays.
For the price buy a FireGL instead.

The Gloria III is an overpriced sham. Definitely, FireGL2.

yes, no doubt, from what i hear firegl2 is the best in that price range.

I still think that there are some serious FireGL reps on this site.. haha . I have never heard this card pushed as much as it is. And the FireGL has issues with maya , some of which are worse than a few over lay hitches.. wait to see how the Geforce 3 comes out of it. THey are going to do a serious push into the higherend markets that may pout these cards out of business becouse they will be tweeked to our needs.
But hell, look into the fireGL , they are good cards, but make sure you are paying for a real difference. becosue , as I have stated in other posts, when I got my Geforce 2 from Elsa it was suppsoed to be a quick fix till i figured what PRO card I wanted.. and for the apst year I haven;t seen any reason to spend more than the 250 bucks I spent on it. Hell,
at work I use a WIldcat 4210 card , and at home I haven;t been happered by this little card one bit. This PRO verse gamers card stuff is a pile of crap for 99% of the reasons .

are youguys getting paid by S3 ohh hey isnt S3 being bought out by ATI maybe theyll have real tech support now and not just send you advertiseing

and seriosly i have a Elsa Gladiac GTS 2 32mb and this card has run like a dream for me in maya and people saying paint fxs are not workable on these cards are just lyeing i use alot of paint fxs lately and sure they are slower then theyw ould be with out them but not unworkable

and i have to agree when the geforce 3 starts to really hit the market they are going to push and push hard into the highend 3d card field

I agree the Geforce2 GTS/Ultra are hot cards, but the Gloria III is a scam. We've discussed this before... WAY too expensive for something you can make with a soldering iron. The FireGL kicks the poop out of it on Tom's site, ESPECIALLY when you move to higher light counts.

nVidia is messing up a lot lately, notice their "new" Geforce2 MX 200 and 400. What a joke. Now that they've consumed their main competition, they are starting to turn MicroSOFT. I think they are going to stay in the consumer market right now and go for maximum volume and market saturation.

That said, they are the "VPro" chipset, and I expect they have a longer term focus on the Pro market, but my question right now is .. why is there ONLY a Quadro2 from Elsa? I think that nVidia is catering specifically to them for that version of the NV15, just because ELSA has been using them in the past...
