I have a scene described by a MEL script. The scene is pretty big, about 10 000 surfaces. The problem occurs on a smaller scenes too but it's more noticable on big scenes. When I execute the script Maya thinks too long. I can understand it, though. But it takes too much time to free that scene ( file->new scene ). Being saved as Maya binary file ( *.mb ) it takes a lot of time for loading too. So its obvious Maya stores all the transforms I do with my polys in script - polyTweakUV, polyUnite etc. How can I delete this info in order to make Maya run such scenes faster? I want Maya works only with geometry and textures, not history of my actions. I saw some examples that had comparable complexity but were run much faster than big scenes I created by MEL scripts.

EDIT > DELTE BY TYPE > HISTORY
will get rid of the unecessary history on your objrct.
