Hey, I'm new to after effects, basically I have an avi of a music video I edited 2 years ago on Final Cut Pro. Now I no longer have the original project file so I can only rely on this avi or what I can rip from the dvd I burned the project to. What I've done is imported the avi into after effects as I want to get rid of some annoying text and have replaced it some new text. When I export it as an mpeg4 I notice a significant drop in quality and jerkiness. I'm guessing it has something to do with different settings on final cut pro compared to after effects or something or other. My question is how can I export it without such a massive drop in quality and avoid the frame rate problem? I've messed around with it in adobe premiere and while the frame rate problem isn't an issue the picture quality still suffers a significant drop when I open the quick time export. Can't seem to export it as an mpeg4 in premier to anything other than a 3g mobile phone size.
