Export To Quicktime Under Linux

Hello all, I've been searching for an answer to this unsuccessfully: is it possible to export from Shake under linux to a quicktime format? I know I can do it from my mac, but I have a 15" powerbook that is very slow for shake. I have a decent linux machine and would like to be able to do everything here. The problem is that there seems to be no way to export to a quicktime format from linux.

Failing that, what would you recommend to use to composite video and audio under linux? I use iMovie now under the mac because it is extremely easy and fullfils my current needs, but have not found anything similar under linux.

you must have searched reeeal hard

short answer is no.
consider rendering to img sequence and use your mac to convert to quicktime.

mencoder can convert sequential images to movie files. So just piggy back a mencoder command after your shake render command.
