Does anyone know how to export bones+mesh between Maya and XSI? I have modeled my 2 characters (one segmented and one is a one-piece mesh) and I want to paint weights and create blendshapes in XSI, then bring the characters back into Maya to animate them.
So far, using crosswalk, I cannot import ANY kind of bones into XSI from Maya, and when I export my mesh from XSI back to Maya, the mesh explodes- I have not painted any weights on the mesh, its only bones and mesh.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know- my XSI and Maya teachers don't know what to tell me.
