Expressions And Groups

Hello, I've got a group with a bunch of nodes underneith. I've exposed one of the parameters of one of the nodes so it's visible on the group. When selected I'd like it to change not only that nodes's assigned parameter, but another inside the node also. Is there a way I can link that via scripting or an expression?

For ease of visualizing...

Add a Shuffle Copy, Group it, then Expose the input 2 to be seen in the User tab of the group. What I'd like to link is the Output 1 parameter of the Shuffle Copy to be the same as the Input 2 value that I'm assigning from the group's User tab.

Any suggestions?

Hi Barry,

drop down menus don't have a ui to assign expressions so you need to do it through the script panel (hit 'x').
the syntax would be something like:
knob Blur1.filter {{Blur2.filter}}

However the channel/layer dropdowns aren't too impressed with this as they seem to verify if the incoming value as a valid channel or layer name so they freak out on an expressions where they should evaluate the expression and check the result for valid channel/layer names.
I stumbled across this before and managed to bypass this by rearranging my comp. Not sure if this is a bug or a safety mechanism but it sure is annoying and should be addressed.
