i am statisfied with my shader so far. This is a poly with an aproximation node (ocean texture)http://sor.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8350600cb53ef0120a7371e8a970b-piNow what is the technique to create an ocean that extends to "infinity".
i know that the create maya option creates a nurbz patch attached tothe camera but i cant use it because i need a normal prespective effectwhere things look smaller when they are far from the camera. Is there atechnique that uses adaptive tessellation where the surface near thecamera has the highest triangle count?or any other technique that letsme render the whole ocean without running out of memory?
Tahts why to patch is radial it geves you more tesselation in middle than far away.
extending ocean to infinity
NOTHING and i mean NOTHING can extend to infinity in any of the raster renderers out there. Because they work with limitted resolution.
The earth is round which is why we have a horizon which i'm guessing you meant by "infinity"?. If it actually went to infinity on a flat plane then it would the entire screen.
