Extrusion on curve Help?

When i create a nurbs spline curve in the top viewport and then create another in the front viewport and then choose extrusion nurbs cubic, then click "on curve" it does not create the shape i want.
What seems to happen is it curves no problem but it scales the top and the bottom of my shape??? AAAGGGRRRHHH!!!

i think i had the same problem.

if you check about 5 messages down the page- titled: 'extrusion', you should get the answer you are looking for.

i am of course assuming you havent seen this yet and havent tried it, or perhaps you tried it and it didn't work for you?

Hi leach, thanks for replying, however i already tried this to no avail, when i create the nurbs curves the origin is already default.

Are you selecting the curve in the Front View to extrude along the Top View or is the Top View curve being extruded?

draw the spline in front view and take the circle or whatever
(you wanna do the extrusion) in the same window....

Dear soft friends, i am trying to extrude a curve along a curve there is no circle, for example in the front vp i create a half circle curve, then in the topview i create a another half circle, the object is to extrude one half circle along another, the problem is it curves in the opp direction and it scales its self wider then then actual curve shape?
i have tried all of your techniques but nothing has worked.

Extrude along a curve should work regardless if either or both curves are open.
You mention scaling, so perhaps you are looking for a different command. The standard Extrude is intended to keep the same cross-section along the curve.
Try :Extrude Along Two Curves in your surface tools.
