Hey guys, I'm pretty new to Maya modelling but I've managed to do a couple of models so I'm getting used to it. But what's the deal with these faces that show up on the edges of other faces? It seems to have happened on my model when I have extruded a face. When I convert my polygon to a subdivision, the area where the little face dots stick to the edge, the area gets sort of rounded. At first I thought it was the vertex so I merged them, but that created a circle shape and a hole around it. I also tried to delete them but then it says I can't covert to subdivision because of an error. So I tried the cleanup option (with different settings as the helpfile suggest) and that made it worse. How can I deal with this, and avoid it in the future? I'm trying to make a boot btw.
