Failed To Find Translator

I'm trying to import an iges file and am receiving the error...

this occurs with any iges files that i have, even if i have reduced the contents of the iges to a single curve.

i have also reinstalled maya to no avail.

scratching my head confused, deadline approaching...

Yes its known bug that sometimes some versions maya don't recongnoize the last convertter on the list, to fix this load a exra plug after the fact and it should work.

many thanks. excuse the noobishness, but how do i load the extra plug?

ive checked all boxes in the plug-in manager

ive overwritten the iges.mll file with a colleague's

ive reinstalled maya

this error is occurring with all translators (dxf, obj, etc...)

it seems like maya is pointing to the wrong spot to find the translator. is this a possibility? if so, how do i correct?

can someone please explain to me how to load the maytoalias.mll and the iges.mll as extra plug-ins? i'm still having problems. objs import fine
