I just want a couple of hair strands dangling before my character's face.
As it turns out I have a couple of hair strands filmed against greenscreen and I am wondering if these could be mapped to cloth strips attached to the head...
the great thing about these filmed strands is that they have a bit of breeze in them, and are very complex (strands intertwined, some fluttering in the breeze, some hardly moving, etc, very realistic) and I would bet that just giving them a bit of dynamics would sell it... so I don't have to simulate hair.
My question is this: how can I make sure those cloth strips are always facing the camera? Obviously I don't want to ever be looking at them at a 90 degree angle and see that they are flat strips...
I just don't see how to do this because if I constrain them in any way, I am overpowering the dynamics of the cloth...
Any ideas?
