There are a number of ways you can copy/paste/import/export animation in SI3D:
1) FcrvCopy - To copy specific Fcurve animation from one object to another, use Motion > FcrvCopy > [parameter]. This will save you the trouble of manually copying/pasting Fcurve data. Introduced in v2.6
2) Structure Keys - If you want to only use poses, you can save a file known as a "Structure Key". A structure key holds all the static transformations of the selected objects on the current frame in the timeline. This file can then be reloaded into any other scene. Values are mapped onto the target object(s) thru name based mapping. If there is a mismatch, the unmatched data is ignored. Introduced in v2.65
3) Actions - Similar to structure keys except you can save entire packages of Fcurves over a specified frame range. Actions can only be applied to the root of the character so it can trickle down the rest of the heirarchy. Like structure keys, it uses name based mapping. Actions can be reused in any scene and are loaded/saved thru the dopesheet. Introduced in v3.8
4) Raw Fcurve data - ASCII files containing numeric data per parameter over a specified frame range. Each Raw Fcurve contains data for a single parameter. You can load/save this data from the Fcurve editor and the save menu in the Motion module. Introduced in v2.5
5) Channels - often overlooked. Using "take" recording, you can output data in realtime to a file and reload it onto any object. Again, name based mapping. Takes can be re-performed and editted as you see fit. Consult the animation manual for details. Introduced in v2.6
Hope this helps,
