I have some backplates PAL res, that are interlaced.
I understand how to deal with this footage.
File in footage.
Set de-interlacing to fields at in the File In Source TAB, in this case ODD(pal).
Then set the increment in the timeline to 0.5
Then set the Field rendering option in the Globals,(render Controls) Tab to Odd.
Thats all Fine.
O.K Now i have to add CGI elements rendered with camera moves over them.
If im running therefore at 25fps, does the cgi stuff Have to come in at 25fps and equal the length of the Clip,
If so how do i handle it?
Should i give it fields or not?
Or should i have the CGI elements come in at 50fps twice the length, and the treat this by Which method.?
Add Fields, or put on two's. or what.
And Finally how should i mix the two, considering im working on a 0.5 frame increment in the timeline.
If anyone has any advice , i would be grateful to hear from you.
Remembering, eventually the final renders will be put onto Digi-beta, and therefore have to maintain a Field Rendering aspect. And that my timeline is set to 0.5.
