File In And File Out Macro

Hi guys

I was just wondering if is there a way to do a kind of "macro" to import some files pre-defined and than based on this file in information, renaming my file out node and the script by it self as well.
I'm working in a animation feature and it is so tiring to have to import a lot of passes and rename everything for every single shot. It might be a way to optimise this task.

i don't think you can do it as a macro kind of thing, but you could try making a "template" script in the GUI with a placeholder filein node called "FILEIN" and "FILEOUT" and then write a script with some kind of grep pattern to rename those (and the script name) based on on a directory with files.

clearly it helps if you know more about perl then i do
