Filein With An Edl File

I have a problem. I have a dpx sequence with an EDL file. Does Shake support EDL files or do I need a plugin? I've looked in the manual and searched for it. I want to import the sequence in smaller clips so I can work with them seperatly. Any idea on how to do this?
