I just ordered a new system a few days ago and ordered an ATI Fire GL 8800 with it (the 750 XGL was $600 from the place I got my computer from so I passed on that). But now I got a deal on a 750 XGL for about $400. Now I'm wondering if I should just get that and either try and sell my FireGL 8800 or give it to my parents (they don't really need it that much but I'm sure it would be better for video games than the GeForce 2 GTS he's getting with my old computer for my dad). What do you guys think? I'm assuming that the XGL would be better for me in the animation area than the FireGL 8800? Any thoughts or comments?
(Or do I just save myself the hassle and possible money loss and wait till the new NV30 cards come out....I'm assuming that I'll need a new one once Doom3 comes out anyways right??)
