Fire to spread on a distance

Hello all

I'm trying to start a fire in one place (room corner) and make it spread to another location.

I tried adding Fire effect to a curve, but fire start at frame one from all curves vertexes with no control from my side.
I tried extrude Nurbs circle on a Nurbs path, and then give it some animation, then to add fire, but same result here.

is there a way to do it ?

Usa a "texture based" emission on the surface emitter by creating a ramp texture (with noise) and animating it.  Assign this texture to the emitter under texture emission.
