Hi..
Combustion just reads the font that are loded in the Windows Fonts Directory..
This sounds Wierd...
Whenever I experience unusal, inconsistent behavior, I typically try this...
How to RESET the Combustion "ini" file..
Here is a Combustion idiosyncrasy that, although NOT that common, none-the-less is frequent enough to merit some attention . . . . . . . If, while using COMBUSTION in your daily work, begin to experience unusual, inconsistent and strange Combustion operational problems - for example Combustion BEGINS to CRASH all the time; you have a "lost" or "missing" menu; you have a "missing codec;" or the HINGE function starts to act-up; or -- simply put -- things get just get TOO wierd....
The FAST & EASY way to " RESET " combustion back to "normal" is to.... Delete your "Host.ini" file...
What is the "Host.ini" file? I am glad you asked....
The "Host.ini" file holds all of the Combustion SetUps including all the users Preferences, menu positioning, combustion configuration setups, render setting defaults, etc, etc. etc. When this file is deleted, the next time combustion opens, thr Host.ini file is restored automatically back to the "FACTORY DEFAULTS."
Here is the step-by-step on how to do it:
1) Close combustion,
2) Do a seach for the "host.ini" file
3) delete it.
4) open Combustion again.
The next time you open combustion, the file will be re-created with ALL of the settings back to " fresh-outta-the-box-just-like-new-factory-defaults " . .
Here is an extra nice BIG TIP: What I have done is to set ALL my Combustion preferences EXACTLY the way I like 'em: This includes screen colors, menu locaton as well as all render preferences -- THEN I close combustion.. Next, COPY that host.ini file and Rename it to "MYhost.ini" ..... If, at some point of time, I have ANY problems, I can quickly "Replace & Restore" the Combustion host.ini file BACK to NORMAL (with all my preferences intact.) Just copy it over and rename "myHost.ini" back to "host.ini" back on top of the old "suspected-faulty" host.ini file...
Have a good day, and Keep combustin'
