I'm working on a reel of what would be in game style animation, trying to exhibit anything that employers might want to see in a reel, at least as much as I can with this style.

Most of the background and props are place holders. Textures too. I'll either replace them as I go and/or add textures. The final idea will to be to make this look like footage of somebody playing, though with a bit more focused motion and better camera angles.

I may think about adding in some more wander into the walk path, so it isn't just a constant straight ahead motion. I know when he hangs up the ladder I'm going to change that a bit too because it looks like it suddenly looses all it's weight.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think.

The initial run cycle needs a much heftier up/down motion for body. As it is now, it's not exagerated enough to really get a sense of weight from the character. At the apex of the first jump, the character suddenly seems to lose some momentum. As soon as he jumps, the motion horizontally (i.e. from point of lift off to point of landing) should be smooth and linear. The second jump seems to have a much smoother travel over the boat. The roll should start with a bigger lean forward to justify the momentum that gets him under the tree. The movement once the character's lifted the ladder seems innappropriate. Since it's such a tall object, it seems to me it would throw off his center of gravity a great deal and he wouldn't make such quick movements lest he lose his balance. I'd suggest starting off the initial steps with slow lift off the ground and quick drops and then have the steps increase as he loses control. But that could be more a personal preference kinda thing.

As it is now, it all looks fantastic. The problems I saw were nothing major and easily fixed. Good luck. I think you'll do well with your work.
