Can anyone give me a link or two that will lead to an avi/mov/mpg of a decent rendered Maya animation using fur and/or cloth. I'm about to look at these features for the first time, and it would be nice to see exactly what can be done with them. I'm not really interested to see any 'hybrid' renders (maya cloth but renderman... etc). There should be a good few examples about, right?
cheers

actually it was renderman that was the fur... well parts of it. They gave away the renderman shader at the courses at last years siggraph (in the renderman class). If you have the "courses cd" you have the shader. they used particles and fur for the damping on the fur when he cries.... i might be wrong.. but it wasn't just maya's fur.

yeah. It said in the art of Stuart Little's cloth was Maya made, but renderman rendered - and it states that the fur 'defining curves' were Maya, but the fur render was Sonys creation.
so Im still looking for killer examples - surely it's been used somewhere?
