Hello Friends,
I am rendering a character moving thru a fluid cloud, but need the fur on his head to be rendered as a blackhole with the Character. Is this possible? A million thanks.

why exactly blackhole? render just a head and then use its alpha as a mask.

Hi,
My character is walking thru some billowing 3d fluid smoke and I am rendering the CH separately. The alpha of the hair is solid and I need the character to pass in, out and thru the smoke. When I apply the blackhole material to the model all is good--except the hair-so I need the charater and his hair held out (blackHoled) so it looks right in comp.
Maybe I can make the character and hair white amd make the fluid completely black and render an "alpha" pass that way?

You dont need to change colors. delete rest of the body and do usual render - extract alpha form it and do compose.

Hello, you are not understanding my problem. I do not need a solid alpha. I need a hair hold out within the fluid volume, with varying thikness of smoke. The smoke is swirling around and thru the hair, and a solid matte will not work. Any other suggestions? Can I convert the hair to polys? thanks for any HELP!
