i am thrilled to be the first person to post under fusion section and i just wanted to let everyone know, well actually its more of a wondering thought that first of all its funny that a|w makes the same program for different platforms and gives it different names to make it sound like they have more progs, and second, whats up with composer? its retarted! should be set up like fusion, fusion is so much more intuitive

Well Composer has been around a long time on SGI IRIX machines. Maya Fusion is/was from the boys who developed Digital Fusion for Windows NT. They are two completely different compositors, but have been beginning to share some if each others strong points as the programmers at Alias|Wavefront intergrate Fusion more and more into Maya.
