Fusion Vs Shake In London

Hi,all
is there any good reason that Shake is preffered than Fusion for compositing&all sort of 2d performance in London?I've been working with Fusion for 3 years now,and find it very powerful as creative software for film productions.Is it the prise or something else?Thanx in advance.

Shake is just amazingly fast. So even if its discontinued its still one of the the best tools around. Mainly its the no nonsense architecture of shake thats very appealing to many users. Shake reflects what you do much better. It does not hide stuff or take care of internals you don't want to be taken care of. Its much more like using the fusion custom node at all times without the time penalty.

However fusion is nicer to work on when speed or understanding is no issue.

Also theres a lot fo shake userbase thats highly, highly skilled.

Well,in the studio where I work,the deadlines are very tight and Fusion performance is what I count on the most.Probably because I haven't worked with Shake in that kind of circumstances,really can't make the difference it the performance of these 2,brilliant 2 say programs.

Shake is still popular--one of the factors likely being that it is cheaper. So it's likely smaller companies will continue with Shake unless Fusion becomes less expensive....

Hot news is that: Fusion has just been bought by Blackmagic Design (producer software for color correction/ grading Da Vinci Resolve)
Fusion will be compare with Da Vinci Resolve in one software like new version Nuke Studio, maybe this is my opinion. For Fusion it's great opportunity for improvement and development.
