GeForce 2gts or Geforce 3?

I have a choice between these two cards to run 3ds Max 4.2.

Elsa Gladiac 920 geforce 3
or
Asus GTS V7700 AGP 64MB

Is the GF3 worth the extra $$$ or would it be better to go with the GF2 with softquadro patch?

You might want to wait a month when the new Geforce 3 Titanium series comes out. Prices on all the older Geforce cards should drop.

the Ti500 geforce 3 is basically geforce 3 ultra, Nvidia is using this to screw radeon 8500

there is also a GeForce3 Ti200 which is the Geforce 3 MX, nvidia is using this one to screw radeon 7500.
