Geforce 8800 Gtx And Maya 8.5 Problem

Hi,

I took the risk of bying a PNY geforce 8800 GTX primarely for maya (I know the quadro is more ideal...)

it runs on XP 64
a dell 30" and a nec 21" (like having space )

there are problems in the viewport ...glitshy and sometimes problem to switch between wireframe and shaded view

I removed the old drivers and installed the 97.92_forceware_winxp64_english_whql

could somebody help me out ?

I've read on this forum that someone ran it perfectly

swap the card (or dsiplay). it most likely its beacsue the drivers of a 64 bit os are sill vetry much nonideal.

Or then ist something trivial like not using the native res!?! but i doubt that happens.

that's bad news...that means I'll have to dive deeper in my pocket to buy a quadro

did you mean not using the native would maybe solf it?
I'll try and see what happens with other resolutions

Well you should be able to get a refund of your card. But first chek itsnot the screen if it sthat then send it back.

it's the XP 64 driver
I installed the 32 bit version of XP with the 32 version driver and it worked fine
hope they update the 64 bit driver soon
