Getting very sick of these quoted posts

Why do users feel a need to
@@QUOTE
every line another users posts within the same damn thread when respounding to them? Its freaken repative and boring. The post they are respounding too is right above them for God's sakes !
I'm about ready to go on a person campaign and remove that [censored] and insert "in respouce to (user name's) comments" till they cut it out.
its insane and makes posts a million lines when they are really only saying a paragraph worth of comments.

What do you guys think? Its draging down discussions.
It just gave me a headache. I want to punch a mac.

Haha.. well sometimes it is hard to follow who is repsonding to what.. often times I will see people responding to someone else's post by they replied to my post so in the threading it's confusing.. when somebody quotes to several paragraphs with a one liner it's annoying.

Personally I find the @@ as a quote delimiter irritating.. I don't know why that's so... maybe it's because those who use them are usually annoying people

Then again I have been criticised for using >> because it did not create enough visual seperation for the quote.

I would hesitate to do anything that hampered discussion here.. this is mainly an issue inthe buzz forum which is prone for flames.. so make remarks if there is smoke but otherwise there is only some much one can do to enforce netiquette.

ARG haha , yea it sucks. I'd rather they wrote like humans and not respounding like a saved chat room discussion. You can write many ways to respound to someone like this
In respounce to Gmask's comments about posts a couple lines up : I too, find it really annoying When people do that. And don;t worry about being criticised G, it does create enough of a visulization.

See that? you knew what I was saying, and if people get confused they can do a little back reading, but had you been following the thread you'd have gone, GOOD SHOW KGB ,, HOORAW!

maybe we should reconsider or internal quoting mechanism to look differently, like just changeing the bg color and indenting or something inteas of this wich realy eats up the screen estate too much:

Yea. It'll all work out. I just couldn't take it when I saw a few other users starting to post a reply line every other line like that OSC guy, which I find damn annoying anyway.
