Good book on character modelling

Can any one please suggest me a good book on Character modelling and animation.I have the book written by the korean author. But recently i came across with another book called "Maya Feature Creature Creations (Graphics Se ries)".Any one tried this book yet? Please suggest me a good book for character modelling and animation,

Hi there,

I would heartily recommend "Maya Character Animation" by Jae-jin Choi. (ISBN 0-7821-4171-4). It's a little more thorough than the creature creations book, and covers eveything from modelling to rigging and animating your characters.

Thanks for that suggestion and now one more request can you suggest silmilar good book for modelling in 3ds max.I already have the book by Paul Steed called Modelling a character in 3ds max,apart from that do you have any other book in mind?

I'm afraid good specialist books on modelling in 3DS max are hard to come by. Check out the tutorials at http://www.3dcafe.com in the free stuff section.

I would strongly recommend that you get good at modelling in just one program first. It's much easier to step across to a different program once you have all the basics under your wing.
