Grass procedural shader

does anyone know a simple, fast rendering way to make a procedural shader for grass?

PFX or fur. (or even geometry)

Flat texures realy dont cut it unless its very short grass... or seen from a distance. Close you need to make the individual gras leaves stand ou or the illusion will be broken. So if you need good effec then it will be very hard and computationaly intensive.
