Greyed out transform handles

hi-

i have a polygon model and for some reason i cant use any of the transform tools on it because the handles are completely greyed out..im guessing this is because of some kind of input connection but i dont know how to find out if it is and disable it.

any help would be great

hey man, sounds to me like something as simple as the fact that you may have locked the transform attributes in the channel box, even if you didn't appear to do that it would be advisable to drag select all your trans,rot& scale attributes and rmb click-unlock selected. The easy way to tell if this has happened is that the transform attributes in the channel box would be a dark gray.

the most common automatic way of achieveing this is to bind things to bones! This si so that the doubletransform risk lowers a bit.
