Grid Snap Stuck On

Hi
For some reason my grid snap is stuck on.
My 'Snap to Grids' icon is unclicked, (ie not on) and I still have grid snapping activated.
It is only when using the XYZ handles of an object, NOT when I grab the yellow box handle for full
movement in all directions.

I have 8.5 and have tried reset prefs to default, restarted maya, reset grid to default.
Any Ideas?

Try to open tool options (double click on tool icon or w-rmb) and disable discrete move?

In the Move Tool Options -> Discrete Move was checked with a step size of 1.
